“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” – anne of green gables

Hi friends!!! So I wrote this post around a week ago and WordPress didn’t save/lost my draft. Not bitter, just learned my lesson (write in word and saveeee). Regardless, hope everyone’s enjoying this beautiful October weather & the accompanying changing colors 🙂 Recently I shot with a Minneapolis photographer, dimacvisuals, check out his site if you’re looking for senior pics, portraits, or really anything photography related! The shoot inspired me to share some of the photos, along with fall layering tips.

It’s easy to get sucked into the same old shirt, cardigan, scarf layering tactics this time of year. Don’t get me wrong, it’s classic for a reason, but sometimes it’s necessary to step out of the box. That, paired with the fact that trends are flying in and out of style faster than imaginable, it makes styling hard to be unique, stay on trend, and not kill your life savings at the same time. Try combining newer trends (like my embroidered bomber or sheer turtleneck) with items you’ve had in your closet for a bit longer. Not only will the layering add a new spin on the things you have lying around, but the added warmth couldn’t hurt (talking to you, my minny friends).

PS: If you noticed my voluminous eyelashes, and want some of your own, head over to Karis Lashes & mention my name for half off a full set! The lovely Kari also has a beauty blog worth reading 🙂
